Invited Guests and Curator Program

Melbourne Art Foundation invites key curators and collectors from around the world to participate in and contribute to the Melbourne Art Fair Forum and Lecture Program.

This includes the Melbourne Art Foundation Lecture presented in assocation with the City of Melbourne's Melbourne Conversations Program and Monash University Museum of Art, and the Melbourne Art Fair Forums. International guests have played a key role in these programs.

We are delighted that Rober Storr, Dean of the Yale School of Art and Artistic Director of the 2007 Venice Biennale will be delivering the inaugural Melbourne Art Foundation 10.00am Session on Friday 6 August and that Michael Brand, International art museum director, most recently a the J Paul Getty Museum, will be participating in one of the Melbourne Art Foundation Forums on Wednesday 4 August: Inspired Acts of Co-creation: On Collaboration. 

Previous guests have included David Elliot (2010 Artistic Director Biennale of Sydney), Massimiliano Gioni (New Museum, New York; Trussardi Foundation, Milan), Anthony Podesta and Heather Miller Podesta (U.S. Lobbyists and collectors), Toby Kamps (Contemporary Arts Museum, Houston) and, Justin Paton (Christchurch Art Gallery).

Key collectors and curators play a vital advocay role for Australian contemporary art in a world context.
